The Royal Thai Air Force, U.S. Air Force, Indian Army and Malaysian Army finish construction on a multi-purpose building at Bankhaotien School in Lopburi Korat, Kingdom of Thailand, Feb. 20, 2018. They hold a ceremony to celebrate the opening of the building to the students. All 6 sites throughout Thailand have completed construction. Thailand and the U.S. are longstanding partners committed to working together in support of peace and security in the region. U.S. Marine Corps Gunnery Sgt. John Suyat and Cpl. Lecil Campbell talk about Thailand's culture and how Marines are able to build relationships despite the language barrier during Cobra Gold 2017. The U.S., Thailand, and Malaysia teamed up at Ban Kok Kee San Toor in the Khon Kaen Province to build a multipurpose room for the people in the village. Humanitarian Civic Action (HCA) programs conducted during CG17 demonstrate a mutual commitment to support security and humanitarian interests of friends and partner nations. Approximately 125 military and civilian medical professionals from eight different nations attended an Exercise Cobra Gold 2015 sponsored medical symposium at the Lop Buri Inn Resort, Mueang Lop Buri District, Lop Buri Province, Thailand, from Feb. 16-17, 2015. Representatives from the different nations – which included Malaysia, South Korea, Japan, China, Singapore, India, Thailand and the U.S. - took turns discussing subjects from their respective fields and common health crises that pose a threat to the worldwide participants. They also participated in tabletop exercises, which brought the partner nations together to resolve simulated crises. Includes sound bites from U.S> Navy Commander Michael Termini, Director of Operation, Navy Environmental and Preventative Medicine Unit 6 and Royal Thai Air Force Group Captain Panachakorn Saguanwong, Deputy Director CG15 Lop Buri Medical Symposium. The Combined Joint Civil-Military Operations Task Force element of Exercise Cobra Gold 2015 spearheads the humanitarian civic assistance mission of the exercise in facilitating four Engineer Civic Action Program sites throughout Thailand. The ENCAPS are located in the Lop Buri, Saraburi and Chanthaburi Provinces - and utilize the vertical construction abilities of the U.S., Thai, Indonesian, Malaysian, Indian, and Chinese military assets participating in CG15.

Key leaders of the Combined Joint Civil-Military Operations Task Force element of Exercise Cobra Gold 2015 visited Samart Loypha, the governor of Chanthaburi Province, Thailand, at the Province's capitol building Jan. 29 to discuss an Engineer Civic Action Project at Ban Chan Krehm elementary school, located Chanthaburi's Kaeng Hang Maeo District. Cobra Gold includes a specific focus on humanitarian civic assistant to support the needs and humanitarian interests of Thai civilian populations around the region. The ENCAP, which utilizes the combined force of U.S. Navy, Indian Army and Royal Thai Marine and Navy military engineers, will result in a new library facility for scholars ages 4-12.
