Marine Corps Band New Orleans performed a concert series Aug. 28-30, 2015, titled "Spirit of Rebirth" to celebrate how far the people of New Orleans have come since the devastation of Hurricane Katrina 10 years ago.

Marines from MARFORRES volunteered at the event for Hike for KaTREEna, a non-profit organization dedicated to replacing trees lost after Hurricane Katrina. The event was part of NOLA Navy week, in which New Orleans served as the inaugural city in a three-year national celebration commemorating the War of 1812 and “The Star-Spangled Banner.”
