David Wilkerson, the Motorcycle Mentorship Program (MMP) representative for Headquarters and Headquarters Squadron, Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, North Carolina, explains what MMP is and what kind of training is involved, July 7, 2021. In 2008, the Marine Corps lost 25 Marines to motorcycle related accidents. As a result of such a high fatality rate, MMP was created to give Marines not only the training, but the knowledge to keep them safe while operating a motorcycle. MTACS-28 Toys for Tots Motorcycle Ride

U.S. Marines assigned to Marine Tactical Air Control Squadron (MTACS) 28 conduct their monthly squadron ride for the Motorcycle Mentorship Program (MMP) on Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, N.C. on Dec 1, 2017. Motorcycle Credentials PSA

On October 9th 2017, motorcycle riders should be prepared to physically show their Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) approved Basic Rider Course (BRC) credentials to Camp Pendleton gate sentries. All motorcycle riders will be checked as they enter the base. A delay in presentation of the credentials to the sentry will effect traffic, so riders are encouraged to have their BRC card readily available along with photo I.D.
