The 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit embarks aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Essex (LHD 2), amphibious transport dock ship USS Portland (LPD 27), and amphibious dock landing ship USS Pearl Harbor (LSD 52) for integrated training in March 2021. U.S. Navy and Marine Corps integration training provides the Essex Amphibious Ready Group/11th MEU its first opportunity to plan, brief, and execute multiples mission packages. U.S. Marines with 2D Radio Battalion, II Marine Expeditionary Force Information Group, II Marine Expeditionary Force, participate in Exercise Resolute Hunter in Fallon, Nevada, from June 22-24, 2023. The joint exercise focuses on naval integration, distributed operations/reach back support models, self-lift/self-sustainability capacity, partner integration, Cyber Employment Team (CET) methods, the advancement of family integrated targeting cells (FITC) capabilities, and a dedicated focus on training and educating Marines on command, control, computing, communications, cyber, intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance and targeting (C5ISR-T).
