Reporter:Junior Reserved Officer’s Training Corps cadets at Seoul American High School are getting a taste of military life. Many of these cadets have a reason to look their best.SB Cadet PV2:I got promoted to the next rank to a Private so I got my uniform dressed today.Reporter:J-R-O-T-C is a little different then other after school programs. It gives students, now cadets, a chance to see how they stand up to a military life style. SB Cadet PV2:I feel pretty excited because I want to get a head start in the military. Cause my parents are in the military and I want to get a taste of military.I’m planning going on to Navy and be an officer in Navy.Reporter:But if you think the J-R-O-T-C is just a one way path into the military, you would be wrong. SB Cadet Major:J-R-O-T-C program have encouragement to anyone coming up to the high school or currently in high school because it helps you a lot with earning scholarships and getting accepted into colleges.Reporter:As much as the cadets focus on development and their future, they haven’t forgotten how to be excited. SB Cadets: The Battalion motto is move like lightning sound like thunder falcons hoo-ah.That’s not how you say it move like lightning sound like thunder falcons hoo-ah.Reporter:Leadership skills, physical fitness, discipline… and having fun will remain important to the cadets as they move forward through this school year.
