The third Professional Military Education course in an enlisted Marine’s career is Sergeant’s Course. One of the benefits from PME courses is the ability to network with other sergeants so they can build connections with other Military Occupational Specialties and have a better understanding of the whole Marine Corps.

Corporal of Marines, non-commissioned officers, the backbone of the Marine Corps. Non-commissioned officers serve as a vital link between the commander and enlisted Marines, and becoming a corporal is a Marines' first big step into that role.Corporal's course is place where Marines are reminded about their choice to become Marines, a place that preaches the necessity of small unit leadership and it ensures that the Marines are ready to uphold the role as an NCO.
