U.S. service members, 1 Canadian Mechanized Brigade Group, Canadian Forces Base Edmonton, and British Royal Marine Commandos with 40 Commando Battle Group, participate in service-level training events to include Integrated Training Exercise (ITX) 1-20, and Marine Air Ground Task Force Warfighting Exercise (MWX) 1-20, at Marine Air Ground Combat Center, Twentynine Palms, Calif., from September to November 2019. The purpose of ITX is to create a challenging, realistic training environment that produces combat-ready forces capable of operating as an integrated Marine Air Ground Task Force (MAGTF) and to prepare units to participate in MWX. MWX is a force on force exercise designed to challenge the MAGTF, other U.S. forces, and allied nations' militaries against a peer adversary in a free play environment in order to assist forces with meeting current and future real world operational demands (U.S. Marine Corps video by Cpl. The Royal Marines are here at Marine Corps Base Quantico for the Sports Tour 2019. To open up, the first event was Soccer. Royal Marines played against the Quantico Marine Soccer Team at Butler Stadium on Tuesday April 16, 2019. Even though the teams were playing against each other they still wanted the best and had a great teamwork mindset.
