Units from across the Marine Corps came together along the Southern Gulf Coast to participate in the Marine Forces Special Operations Command unit readiness exercise, RAVEN. Participating units executed missions beginning at the target development phase, all the way through mission execution. The training is intended to replicate conditions Marine Raiders will encounter while deployed, while maximizing opportunities for integration with conventional forces.

U.S. Army Special Operations Soldiers with 2nd Battalion, 7th Special Forces Group (Airborne) and U.S. Marine Raiders with Marine Special Operations School take part in the SOF Horsemanship Course at Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center, Bridgeport, Calif., during the month of June 2019. The purpose of the SOF horsemanship course is to teach SOF personnel the necessary skills to enable them to ride horses, load and maintain pack animals for military applications in austere environments. Special Operations attachments attend 1-18 SOF Horsemanship Course from June 6, 2018 to June 21, 2018 at Mountain Warfare Training Center, Bridgeport, Calif.
