Echeverry received the award for his actions after a vehicular collision caused by an intoxicated driver near Belle Chasse, Louisiana. Echeverry is a native of New York. PALMERSTON, Australia -- U.S. Marines with Marine Rotational Force Darwin take time to serve as role models and mentors to the youth in Darwin, May 19, 2017. Since arriving, the Marines have volunteered more than 1250 personal hours of service to the community. The 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing Band performs alongside the United Service Organization’s Show Troupes during the Tribute to Selfless Service concert held at the Dale F. Halton Theater in Charlotte, N.C., Sept 11, 2016. The concert was held as a remembrance of September 11 and to pay tribute to service members past and present. The 2nd MAW Band completes over 150 commitments annually and travels in excess of 30,000 miles to uphold the old and honored Marine traditions of pride, professionalism, and esprit de corps.

Chief Petty Officer Jaclyn Place is a lead chief petty officer with the Headquarters Regimental Aid Station, 1st Marine Logistics Group, and was awarded an impact Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal for her selfless and decisive actions that saved the lives of her neighbors.
