Partner Nations from Bosnia, Bulgaria, Macedonia, Montenegro, Slovenia, Serbia and the United States participate in exercise Platinum Wolf 16 from May 9th-20th, at Peacekeeping Operations Training Center South Base, Bujanovac, Serbia. The exercise aims to increase the participating nations mastery in peacekeeping operations and non-lethal weapons systems.

Reserve Marines with 3rd Civil Affairs Group, Force Headquarters Group, Marine Forces Reserve, participate in the program called American Corner, where they have the opportunity to teach local children about American culture and the Marine Corps during exercise Platinum Wolf 2016, in Bujanovac, Serbia, May 11, 2016. The Marines visited two American Corners sites in Bujanovac and Vranje during the exercise to visit and interact with the local youth. The program is sponsored by the U.S. embassy and a local host institution; it aims to reinforce intercultural exchange and friendship between the two nations.

Marines from Black Sea Rotational Force have been training shoulder-to-shoulder with soldiers from Bulgaria, Romania and Serbia during Exercise Platinum Lion 15. The exercise is in conjunction with stated DoD training goals, as per remarks by Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel, seen in the video. Platinum Lion 15 began Monday and will conclude Jan. 24

Marines and Sailors with Black Sea Rotational Force 14.2, from 3rd Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment, work with partner nations, teaching them non-lethal systems techniques aboard South Base, Serbia, July 1-4, 2014. This is the first iteration of the Platinum Wolf exercise, hosted by Serbia, with members of the Serbian, Croatian, Slovenian, Bulgarian, Romanian, Azerbaijani, Macedonian and United States militaries participating in the exercise, focusing on non-lethal system training and peacetime operations in order to foster greater interoperability with each other while promoting peace and prosperity in the Black Sea, Balkan and Caucasus regions of Eastern Europe.
