Timor-Leste Defense Force members and a platoon of U.S. Marines with Company A, 1st Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment, Marine Rotational Force – Darwin, participated in Exercise Koa Moana 15.2 in Dili, Timor-Leste June 22 -26. The platoon of Marines conducted a bilateral exercise with one platoon of the Timor-Leste Defense Force’s land component of the naval force and one platoon of their Marines. The bilateral training included fundamentals of squad and platoon level tasks. During the exercise, Marines also engaged with in several community relations opportunities.
