Robert Biggers, the officer in charge of the Marine Detachment embarked on the USS Hershel "Woody" Williams, (ESB 4), speaks about the recently-concluded deployment that saw the Marines and Sailors of the USS Hershel "Woody" Williams conducting operations in the U.S. Marine Corps Forces Africa area of operations, Nov. 4, 2024. The Marine detachment conducted multiple theater security operations across several countries, increasing joint readiness and strengthening our relations with partner nations.
