More Information
Capt. John Standard wouldn’t let anything stand in the way of answering the call to serve—even cancer. After being diagnosed with non-Hodgkins lymphoma while serving as an AV-8B Harrier pilot, he relied on the determination honed in training and the support from the Marines to his left and right to beat the disease. Now he's cancer free and back in the cockpit to tell you his story.
