Marines with the Expeditionary Firefighting and Rescue team attached to Marine Wing Support Detachment 273 regroup after successfully extinguishing a controlled training fire during a detachment field exercise aboard Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, Feb. 27. MWSD-273 conducted a base recovery after attack exercise utilizing their damage assessment team, damage assessment response team, and expeditionary firefighting and rescue team. The U.S. Marine Corps continually adapts to changes in technology to stay on the cutting edge. Marines are using a 3D printed drone called the Nibbler to assist in Base Recovery After Attack, or BRAAT, in the U.S. Central Command area of operations.
