34 Marines with 3d Reconnaissance Battalion, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force gasp through an eight-week Marine Corps Combatant Divers Course at Camp Schwab, Okinawa, Japan. Six instructors from the Navy Diving and Salvage Training Center, in Panama City, Florida, attempted to tear the Marines out of their comfort zone. An overview of the training conducted at the Marine Corps Combatant Diver Detatchment, Panama City, Fla. The Marine Combatant Diver Course is designed to train basic and advanced open and closed circuit diving techniques in order to effectively function as a member of a dive team, in support of the operating forces.
