Regional firefighters began refreshing Camp Pendleton's 164 miles of firebreaks designed to control fires on the installation year-round. The fire breaks, created and maintained with bull dozers and road graders are essential to mitigating property damage and loss of life on and off base. (U.S. Marine Corps video by Cpl. Marines learn how to operate a D6K light tracked bulldozer through clay during a course July 1 thru August 5, 2016 at Range 160, Camp Hansen, Okinawa. Heavy equipment operators from various units under III Marine Expeditionary Force attended a two-week course on the D6K earthmover. The instructors of the course were brought from the Tank-automotive and Armaments Command.
