Marines and sailors with II MEF Headquarters Group participated in the annual Praetorian Challenge aboard Camp Lejeune, N.C., Oct. 9, 2015. During the challenge, participants competed in events such as the tire roll, rock wall climb, tug-of-war, and pull-up challenge.

Marines with 1st Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment, Marine Rotational Force - Darwin, participate in Exercise Tigers Challenge 15, a resiliency training course hosted by Australian soldiers with 5th Battalion, the Royal Australian Regiment, Australian Army, August 10-14 at Robertson Barracks, Palmerston, Northern Territory, Australia. Tigers Challenge 15 is a week-long course with rigorous physical training, mental challenges and team-building exercises to help build camaraderie and instill a confidence in the troops to be able to take on and accomplish any challenge. The rotational deployment in Australia enables Marines to more effectively train, exercise and operate with their partners, enhancing regional security and building a capacity to respond more rapidly to natural disasters and crises throughout that region. Marines with 10th Marine Regiment maneuvered the Battle Skills Training Center endurance course during the unit's Super Squad Challenge aboard Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, June 30, 2015. The course required the Marines to take on numerous water and obstacle-based challenges at the conclusion of a rigorous nine-mile hike to maintain individual readiness and compete for the best time in teams.

British Royal Marine Commandos, Romanian Mountain Brigade soldiers and U.S. Marines with Black Sea Rotational Force participated in Exercise Platinum Lynx, May 4-16. This exercise allows all the nations to come together and practice their mountaineering ability while building lasting partnerships and friendships. The exercise involved hiking, climbing and a culminating three-day final exercise.
