Dog handlers from the Marine Corps, San Francisco Fire Department, San Francisco Police Department, and other rescue and training agencies gathered to demonstrate their unique skills during Bark at the Park in Jefferson Square Park, San Francisco, Oct. 7, 2014. Interoperability training enables civil-military agencies and personnel to share techniques and procedures, which also gives them the opportunity to gain understanding of the roles, responsibilities and capabilities of each agency.
