Marines with Black Sea Rotational Force 17.2 execute a two-day cold weather range consisting of firing different machine gun systems and creating and setting off demolition charges.

Marines with Black Sea Rotational Force perform weapons sustainment training to prepare for a multinational training schedule during their deployment. BSRF has more than 17 exercises planned in the Eastern European area of responsibility during their rotation. BSRF is a biannual rotation which acts as a Security Cooperation Marine Air-Ground Task Force through conducting military-to-military engagements and enabling the continuation of regional stability, increasing interoperability, and building and maintaining relationships with allied and partner nations.

British Royal Marine Commandos, Romanian Mountain Brigade soldiers and U.S. Marines with Black Sea Rotational Force participated in Exercise Platinum Lynx, May 4-16. This exercise allows all the nations to come together and practice their mountaineering ability while building lasting partnerships and friendships. The exercise involved hiking, climbing and a culminating three-day final exercise.

Romanian and Bulgarian soldiers and U.S. Marines with Black Sea Rotational Force conduct exercise Platinum Lion 15.2, April 3-17, 2015 in the Novo Selo Training Area, Bulgaria. Marines with Black Sea Rotational force conduct a non-lethal systems package aboard Mihail Kogalniceanu Airbase, March, 18-20. The three-day long course consisted of a Oleoresin Capsicum course along with Taser exposure and riot control tactics.
