Recruits of Lima Company, 3rd Recruit Training Battalion, and Oscar Company, 4th Recruit Training Battalion, begin the first of seven graduation requirements, Basic Water Survival Training, Dec. 28, 2016, on Parris Island, S.C. Water survival qualification includes a 25-meter swim, jumping into the water from a tower, treading water, 25-meter pack swim and hastily shedding combat equipment underwater.
