U.S. Marines with Marine Corps Security Forces Regiment and British Royal Marine Commandos conduct various training exercises during Exercise Tartan Eagle 23 at Naval Support Activity Northwest Annex, Chesapeake, Virginia and the United Kingdom July 25 to September 23, 2023. U.S. Marines and British Royal Marine Commandos participated in Exercise Tartan Eagle 23 a annual bilateral exercise which enhances international relations with our allies, close-quarter battles capabilities, marksmanship, exchange tactics, techniques and procedures in fixed site security. Members from the Singapore Armed Forces Army Combat Engineers Company, Royal Thai Navy Construction Battalion and U.S. Marines from Marine Wing Support Squadron (MWSS) 171 and MWSS-172 construct and dedicate a building at the Ban Mor Mui School during Exercise Cobra Gold 2023 (CG23), Rayong, Kingdom of Thailand. MWSS-171 and MWSS-172 participated in the 42nd iteration of the Cobra Gold series of exercises, where they lended their engineering expertise to multilateral humanitarian efforts. CG23 emphasized readiness and cooperation amongst the participating nations through command and control, field training, and humanitarian assistance and disaster relief operations. Members of the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) with 403 Helicopter Operations Training Squadron (HOTS) based out of Gagetown, New Brunswick, Canada, conduct their flight engineer and flight instructor course on Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) New River, in Jacksonville, North Carolina, Feb. 4, 2023.
