More Information
Marines with Division Schools, 1st Marine Division, participate in a range demo involving autonomous, robotic human-type targets at Camp Pendleton, Calif., Feb. 18, 2016. The Marines had the opportunity to test out the robotic targets for possible future use in the U.S. military. The autonomous robots enable the Marines to get the best and most realistic training experience possible because it challenges them to identify targets and quickly react to their erratic movements in any given situation. (U.S. Marine Corps video by Cpl. Angel Serna/Released) Includes interviews with Cpl. Aleksandr Bulymba, from Sacramento, Calif., a combat marksmanship instructor with Div. Schools and Nathan Fung, from Sydney, Australia, a robotics engineer for Marathon Targets.
