The Navy Marine Corps Relief Society was founded in 1904 to provide financial support to widows and orphans of Sailors and Marines, since then they have hired registered nurses to make home visits to active duty Marines and Sailors, their dependents, widows and widowers, retirees, and combat-served veterans, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, February 21, 2018.
