U.S. Marines with Combined Arms Company (CAC), Bulgarian Armed Forces, and Romanian Armed Forces take part in Platinum Lion 16-1 at Novo Selo Training Area, Bulgaria, Oct. 26-Nov. 7, 2015. U.S. Marines and sailors with the Black Sea Rotational Force 14 (BSRF) as well as Bulgarian forces with the 5th Battalion Battle Group conduct NATO certification exercise Strike Back 14, Oct 7, 2014 through Oct 16, 2014 at the Koren Training Area, Bulgaria. The exercise was held to facilitate the certification of the 5th Battalion Battle Group in order to be able to participate in multi-national and NATO operations. BSRF's goal is to improve partner relations, capacity and to promote regional stability.
