2023 I MEF Year in Review

U.S. Marines and Sailors with I Marine Expeditionary Force, demonstrate the ability to fight and win in any clime and any place. In 2023, 6,000 Marines and Sailors deployed across 13 countries during 25 major operations, throughout every combatant command to increase warfighting readiness, enhance forward posture and refine innovation initiatives. I MEF provides the Marine Corps a globally responsive, expeditionary, and fully scalable Marine Air-Ground Task Force, capable of generating, deploying and employing ready forces and formations for crisis response, forward presence, major combat operations and campaigns.
