An unspoken reflex ran through the line of vehicles and punishing volleys of machinegun fire burst from the convoy’s gunners as Transportation Company, Combat Logistics Battalion 6, 2nd Marine Logistics Group, neutralized a simulated ambush at the edge of the town, May 22. Marines with 3rd Marine Logistics Group (MLG) conduct Training and Readiness (T&R) on Camp Foster, Okinawa, Japan, August 19, 2020. Motor transport operators used this T&R to improve their military occupational specialty proficiency, foster esprit de corps, and improve combat readiness. 3rd MLG, based out of Okinawa, Japan, is a forward deployed combat unit that serves as III Marine Expeditionary Force’s comprehensive logistics and combat service support backbone for operations throughout the Indo-Pacific area of responsibility.
