2nd Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment (V 2/2) completes a six month deployment with 3rd Marine Division in Okinawa, Japan, under the Unit Deployment Program from August 2019 to February 2020. V 2/2 participated in exercises like Tiger Strike, Kamandag 3, Fuji Viper, Tiger Triumph, among others. More than 120 Canadian Forces soldiers with Company A., 2nd Battalion, Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry, conducted Military Operations on Urban Terrain (MOUT) training with U.S. Marines from Company C, 1st Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, on the island of Oahu during Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) Exercise 2012. Approximately 2,200 troops from Canada, the United States and 7 other countries make up the Combined Forces Land Component Command, or CFLCC, which conducts numerous amphibious and land-based operations exercises throughout RIMPAC 2012 in order to enhance multinational and joint interoperability.
