U.S. Marine Corps firefighters with Fire and Emergency Services Division (FESD), Marine Corps Base (MCB) Camp Lejeune and Headquarters and Headquarters Squadron, Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) New River participate in a Marine Corps Fire Rescue and Survival (MCFRAS) course on MCB Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, Nov. 18-22, 2024. MCAS New River Expeditionary Firefighting and Rescue and MCB Camp Lejeune FESD worked in tandem to host the inaugural MCFRAS course to spread advanced knowledge and tactical skills among Department of Defense firefighters. U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Bradey Stover, the lead Expeditionary Fire and Rescue Emergency Medical Services instructor with Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting, Headquarters and Headquarters Squadron, Marine Corps Air Stations Cherry Point, teaches classes that provide Marines, other service members and civilians with the necessary instruction to receive their National Registry Certification at MCAS Cherry Point, North Carolina, Nov. 22, 2024. All Aircraft Rescue Firefighters must have at least one emergency medical responder certification, which needs to be renewed every two years. U.S. Marine Corps aircraft rescue and firefighting (ARFF) Marines with Headquarters and Headquarters Squadron, Marine Corps Air Station Yuma, hike the Granite Mountain Hotshots Memorial State Park in Yarnell, Arizona, November 15, 2024. This is the first iteration of this course offered outside of Hawaii, and it contains the most advanced training available on technology and techniques for rescue watercraft vehicles.
