Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Cherry Point commanding officer, Col. Mikel R. Huber wishes patrons a happy 80 years at MCAS Cherry Point, North Carolina, on May 20, 2021. Today commemorates 79 years since the commissioning of Cherry Point. This year marks 80 years since the groundbreaking of the installation. In those eight decades, MCAS Cherry Point has transformed and adapted as a premier home for the transformation and advancement of Marine Corps aviation and warfighting.
