On this episode of Real Quick, the annual MCCS Kids’ Day brings some super-hero themed family fun to New River, Semper Fit offers classes to help Force Fitness Instructors to develop more effective training plans and the classic “Full Metal Jacket” will be showing for free at New River’s theater as part of their Moto Movie Monday’s - which occur on the first Monday of every month.

Throughout Camp Pendleton’s history, multiple movie producers have utilized its training grounds over Hollywood sets to recreate authentic war scenes of our country’s most famous battles. The Marine Warrior Library is designed to support the education, personal development and entertainment needs of all service members and their families stationed at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point. The library offers more than 25,000 print volumes, 215,000 e-books and 5,000 audiobooks. Alongside the reading materials, the library has an on-site café to meet your coffee and snack needs while completing homework or unit training utilizing their free WiFi. Other Marine Warrior Library services include video game console and game rentals; faxing, scanning and printing; music downloads; television series and movie rentals; 3D printing and many others. If any of these services interest you, check out the library and the technicians will provide you with the information needed to complete your goals!

Marine Corps Community Services hosts the 17th annual Christmas Tree Lighting aboard Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, N.C., Dec. 1, 2016. The lighting of the tree represents the beginning of the holiday season. The event gave service members and their families an opportunity to take photos with Santa, watch an outdoor Christmas movie, enjoy a free show from the United Service Organization’s Show Troupe and receive door prizes. Gerard Butler visits Camp Pendleton Marines and families during the premiere of his new movie, Feb. 26. Butler also recieved a demonstration of Marine Corps Martial Arts Program techniques.

Kit Harington and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, actors in the upcoming major motion picture Pompeii, visited marine Corps Air Station Miramar, Calif., Feb. 8. The actors signed autographs and answered questions about the film. Marine and their family members were present hours in advance in order to get a seat for the film. Available in high definition.
