Service members with 3rd Marine Logistics Group established their Role II capabilities display Nov. 26-30, 2018 at Camp Foster, Okinawa, Japan. The preventive medicine snake relocation course allowed Sailors to practice safely relocating reptiles from areas where they pose a threat. Sailors with 3rd Medical Battalion, 3rd Marine Logistics Group, established a Role II capabilities display to give service members the opportunity to view their full facilities. Preventive medicine technicians displayed and offered courses on their food and water sanitation test, snake relocation and entomology surveillance capabilities. A Bon Odori Festival was held at the nursing home to celebrate the japanese holiday called Obon. Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni residents and local Iwakuni High School students gathered for a festival. Obon is a JapaneseBuddhist custom that honors the spirit of their ancestors.

U.S. Armed Forces and Philippine Army medical teams reach out to local leaders and organizations for cooperative health engagements during Exercise Balikatan throughout the province of Isabela, Philippines, April 18-28, 2018. Exercise Balikatan, in its 34th iteration, is an annual U.S.-Philippine military training exercise focused on a variety of missions, including humanitarian assistance and disaster relief, counterterrorism, and other combined military operations held from May 7 to May 18. The Navy Marine Corps Relief Society was founded in 1904 to provide financial support to widows and orphans of Sailors and Marines, since then they have hired registered nurses to make home visits to active duty Marines and Sailors, their dependents, widows and widowers, retirees, and combat-served veterans, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, February 21, 2018.
