MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP PENDLETON, Calif. — More than 150 Marine combat veterans and their families gathered for the reunion of the “Chosin Few,” August 17, 2016, aboard Camp Pendleton. The survivors of the battle of Chosin Reservoir come together biannually to reconnect and remember their fallen brothers in the intense battle. The veterans greatly appreciate the recognition for their trials, but it’s the emotions invoked from seeing their brothers who struggled alongside them that makes the reunion truly meaningful. Marines with Combat Logistics Battalion 7, I Marine Expeditionary Force, attend a Basic Machine Gunner's course at the Combat Skills Training school at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, Calif., Jan. 18-29, 2016. The Marines with CLB-7 are from Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center, Twentynine Palms. This is a unique training opportunity for the Marines to interact with their 1st Marine Logistics Group counterparts. The BMG course is a two-week-long class which covers the nomenclature and application of the M240B machine gun, M249 Squad Automatic Weapon, M2 .50 cal machine gun and the Mk 19 grenade launcher.
