NMCCL Trauma Center Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

The Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune Trauma Center hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony in honor of their Level III Trauma Center verification which allows them to service civilian trauma patients, Jan. 18, 2019. The trauma center received its verification following an on-site evaluation of processes and systems. Recognition by the American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma is a testament to the NMCCL’s Commitment to maintaining force readiness. (U.S. Marine Corps video shot by Sgt. MCAS Miramar switching to renewable "green" energy helps reduce greenhouse gas emissions and move toward greater energy independence while simultaneously benefiting the City of San Diego by reducing our dependence on the San Diego electrical grid. This is a joint venture between MCAS Mirmar, the city of San Diego and Fortistar. MCAS Miramar will receive over half of its energy from renewable sources reaching the SecNav's goals of all bases and stations getting 50% of its power from renewable energy 8 years ahead of schedule.
