Force Reconnaissance Marines with Maritime Raid Force, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit conduct an amphibious assault in Guam, January 15, 2018, during Realistic Urban Training Exercise. RUTEX provides an instrumental, tailored training opportunity which helps hone their ability to operate in urban environments in preparation for the 31st MEU’s regularly-scheduled Spring Patrol 2018. Marines with Force Reconnaissance Company, 2nd Reconnaissance Battalion, trained with long rifles at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, N.C. Jan. 12, 2018. The Marines ran through various courses of fire with the precision weapon systems in order to ensure every Marine in the company was proficient in shooting and maintaining the rifles.
