Marines with Provost Marshal Office's Special Reaction Team, the Marine Corps version of SWAT, undergoes the 'kill house' Oct. 5 aboard Camp Foster, Okinawa, Japan. The CLS course educates and trains Marines in basic casualty and combat care, preparing them to provide aide to injured service members in combat situations. Marines learn to provide similar life-sustainment care that a corpsman would administer until the causality can be treated by a medical professional. The final test is a high intensity course that simulates the loud, hectic environment of a real life combat situation known as ‘kill house.’ SRT scrambles to save their battle buddies, effectively treat wounds and report their position. Marines from various units participated in a Combat Lifesavers course held by the Advisor Training Cell at Camp Pendleton, Nov. 17. During the course, students received instruction and participated in hands-on training to hone their lifesaving medical skills and techniques. Available in High Definition.
