U.S. Marines instruct on fundamentals of Combat Rubber Raiding Craft (CRRC) to Royal Cambodian Navy Sailors at Ream Naval Base, Sihanoukville, Cambodia, Nov. 1. Training between U.S. and Cambodian service members took place during Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT) 16. 31st MEU’s Battalion Landing Team Executes a Raid on an Okinawan Beach

Marines and Sailors with Company A, Battalion Landing Team 1st Battalion, 4th Marines, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, execute an assault on Kin Blue training area, Okinawa, Japan, using combat rubber raiding craft. As the MEU’s Boat Company, this training prepares the unit for real-time objectives it may face in upcoming regional security operations. The unit approaches from approximately one mile off the coast, quickly moving to shore in order to eliminate hostile forces (Marine role-players) on the beach and further inland.
