Marines and soldiers on Camp Manion at Al Taqaddum Air Base, Iraq, remember 1st Lt. Travis L. Manion’s legacy. Manion was killed April 29, 2007, while conducting combat operations in Al Anbar Province, Iraq. For his heroic actions, Manion posthumously received the Bronze Star with Valor and the Silver Star. Marine Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Squadron (VMU) 1 launches the RQ-7B Version 2 Shadow from Cannon Air Defense Complex in Yuma, Ariz., March 26. The squadron launched their first flight after moving from Twentynine Palms, Calif., to their new location. Marine Wing Support Squadrons (MWSS) 371 and 274 built a runway for VMU-1's aircraft.

U.S. Marine Corps explosive ordnance disposal technicians with Special-Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Crisis Response-Africa met with Unidad Militar de Emergencias personnel from the Spanish Defense Force to demonstrate their robotic assets and survey the UME disaster training site at Morón Air Base, Spain, Feb. 18, 2015. UME personnel provide disaster relief throughout Spain and, if required, abroad. SPMAGTF-CR-AF regularly engages in training with Allies to build stronger working relationships. This multimedia documentary captures the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) deployment to the U.S. 5th and 6th Fleet areas of responsibility aboard the Kearsarge Amphibious Ready Group from March through November 2013. Battalion Landing Team 3/2 Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 266 (Reinforced) and Combat Logistics Battalion 26 were the 25th MEU's reinforcements. The 26th MEU is a Marine Air-Ground Task Force forward deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility aboard the Kearsarge Amphibious Ready Group serving as a sea based expeditionary crisis response force capable of conducting amphibious operations across the full range of military operations. On March 17, 2012 VMFA-115 and MALS-31 returned from a 6 month deployment in support of MAG-12 and 1st Marine Air Wing in the West Pacific.
