The 13th MEU's Lifeline - CLB 13

Combat Logistics Battalion 13 has and will continue to be the Logistics Combat Element (LCE) for the 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU). The LCE, about 250 Marines and Sailors strong, provides combat support such as supply, maintenance, transportation, explosive ordnance disposal, military police, water purification and distribution, engineering, medical and dental services, fuel storage and distribution, and other services to the deployed MEU. U.S. Marine Corps explosive ordnance disposal technicians with Special-Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Crisis Response-Africa met with Unidad Militar de Emergencias personnel from the Spanish Defense Force to demonstrate their robotic assets and survey the UME disaster training site at Morón Air Base, Spain, Feb. 18, 2015. UME personnel provide disaster relief throughout Spain and, if required, abroad. SPMAGTF-CR-AF regularly engages in training with Allies to build stronger working relationships.
