Elements of the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, including Battalion Landing Team 1st Battalion, 5th Marines and Combat Logistics Battalion 31, participated in the Korean Marine Exchange Program with the Republic of Korea Marine Corps. KMEP enhanced existing combat capabilities in a mountainous environment and improved combined interoperability with the ROK Marines. The Marine forces conducted rappel, mortar, rocket, combat marksmanship and martial arts training.Suggested Lead: For approximately two weeks, elements of the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit worked alongside Republic of Korea Marine counterparts during the Korean Marine Exchange Program last month.
