Part three of a three part series: Cpl. Lee Walls, a Port St. Lucie, Fla., native and navigator with Combat Logistics Regiment 2, Regional Command (Southwest), talks about his position as the route maker in the lead navigation vehicle for convoys through Helmand province, Afghanistan. Walls serves as the eyes, ears and protective shield for convoys of up to 40 vehicles pushing through rugged desert terrain where possible attacks and improvised explosive devices are a constant threat.
