Navy Lt. Orlando Cabrera has spent the last two years incorporating acupuncture into his bag of medical treatments for service members in the military. Cabrera spent the last several months using acupuncture to help service members deployed to Camp Leatherneck, Helmand province, Afghanistan, where he treats everything from anxiety to
battlefield related trauma. Cabrera said he is a physician first, and uses
traditional medicine whenever it is most appropriate. However, he has seen the success of acupuncture on his patients, and he has experienced it's effects first hand.

Paddling the War Away

Joshua Ploetz is a Wounded Warrior who is canoeing down the entire Mississippi River to support fellow warriors suffering from PTS and TBI and gain awareness. He is canoeing a total of 2,575 miles solo. Friday, July 25, Joshua stopped at New Orleans, La. to a surprise welcome from Marines who work at Marine Forces Reserve. Joshua started his journey May 19th and plans to finish by the end of July. Joshua served in the Marine Corps from 2002-2006. He was with machine guns, weapons Plt., Lima Co., 3rd BN, 3rd Marines and Alpha Co., 1st BN, 3rd Marines. Also available in high definition.
