Navy Lt. Orlando Cabrera has spent the last two years incorporating acupuncture into his bag of medical treatments for service members in the military. Cabrera spent the last several months using acupuncture to help service members deployed to Camp Leatherneck, Helmand province, Afghanistan, where he treats everything from anxiety tobattlefield related trauma. Cabrera said he is a physician first, and usestraditional medicine whenever it is most appropriate. However, he has seen the success of acupuncture on his patients, and he has experienced it's effects first hand.
