Combat Engineers from various units completed a night infiltration course as a culminating event fro a SAPPER Leader's Course ran by 2nd Combat Engineer Battalion at Camp Lejeune, N.C., Feb. 4, 2016. The course consisted of three weeks' worth of field exercises to help develop engineering leaders and war fighters.

More than 40 Marines of 2nd, 4th Combat Engineer Battalions and 8th Engineer Support Battalion participated in a Sapper Leaders Course aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, N.C., July 15-29. This was a first time ever that Reserve Marines were able to participate in such a course. It was also the first time the Sapper training was ran at Camp Lejeune in two years. Since the course was planned by 4th CEB but was conducted by 2nd CEB engineer training area instructors, Active-Component Marines from 2nd CEB and 8th ESB were invited along for the training.
