Warrior Wednesday: Marine from San Antonio

U.S. Marine Cpl. Monica M. Coleman joined the Marine Corps to serve her country and push her limits. After accepting the challenge, she quickly found that she loved the camaraderie between Marines.

In addition to the bonds she has made, Coleman loves her job as a motor-transportation operator for Headquarters and Service Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment.

In this interview, the 20-year-old from San Antonio, tells us where her passion comes from, and how she has used it to bring her unit success.

Holiday Greetings

U.S. Marines with the 2d Marine Division (MARDIV) Band perform a “rolling” holiday concert for on-base housing families on a Medium Tactical Vehicle Replacement to spread holiday cheer on Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, Dec. 14- 17, 2020. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the 2d MARDIV Band altered their annual Christmas concert from the theatre to a moving truck that visited various neighborhoods on Camp Lejeune.

Motor transportation Marines with III Marine Expeditionary Force's three major support elements challenge each other in the 2nd Annual Truck Rodeo. The challenges gauge and reinforce each Marines prowess as drivers as they weave through obstacles with and without a trailer while trying to best each other's times. The truck rodeo also gave them an opportunity to show off some unit pride and build camaraderie.
