Marines from Marine Corps Air Station Yuma wrap up reclamation operations in and around the impact site of an AV-8B Harrier II aircraft that crashed into a residential neighborhood in Imperial, Calif., June 4th. The Marines will turn over cleaning and restoration responsibilities to government contractors and the MCAS Yuma Environmental Department while assisting with site security. Marines from Marine Corps Air Station Yuma continued in the recovery of an AV-8B Harrier II aircraft that crashed into a residential area of Imperial, Calif., June fourth. The Operation included the extensive use of a crane and supporting Marines to locate and remove parts of the destroyed aircraft from the impact crater.
