On September 28, 2014, 2nd Marine Division Combat Camera produced a documentary highlighting the recent mission of 3rd Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment as part of Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force (SPMAGTF) Crisis Response, SPMAGTF Africa, and The Black Sea Rotational Force. SPMAGTF Crisis Response also included elements from Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 162, Marine Aerial Refueler Transport Squadron (VMGR) 252 and VMGR-352.
