Thousands of people ran a 17.75K to commemorate the spirit of the Marine Corps and its establishing year. Cpl. Sarah Luna headed to the race’s route at Prince William Forest Park in Triangle, VA to hear what motivated participants to compete the race.

5K on the Runway

Marine Corps Air Station Yuma, Ariz., held its first 5K on the runway in over 20 years Friday. Service members and civilians were invited to attend the 5K in an effort to reach out to the community. The route was planned out so the runners could see all the aircraft the air station uses on a daily basis up close.
