Marines with 2nd Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment, conducted Exercise Watchtower aboard the Combat Center, Nov. 10-11, 2015. Companies G and E, alongside 2/7's headquarters element and Weapons Company, conducted a 36-hour movement to contact against Company F, the opposition force.

Timor-Leste Defense Force members and a platoon of U.S. Marines with Company A, 1st Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment, Marine Rotational Force – Darwin, participated in Exercise Koa Moana 15.2 in Dili, Timor-Leste June 22 -26. The platoon of Marines conducted a bilateral exercise with one platoon of the Timor-Leste Defense Force’s land component of the naval force and one platoon of their Marines. The bilateral training included fundamentals of squad and platoon level tasks. During the exercise, Marines also engaged with in several community relations opportunities. Marines with 2nd Combat Engineer Battalion, 2nd Marine Division conducted fire and movement training aboard Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, June 4, 2015. British Royal Marine Commandos, Romanian Mountain Brigade soldiers and U.S. Marines with Black Sea Rotational Force conduct the culminating three-day final exercise during Exercise Platinum Lynx, May 12-14, 2015. The British Royal Marine Commandos conducted reconnaissance of the area in the Carpathian Mountain Range early that morning to support the movement of U.S. Marines into an assault position while the Romanian soldiers conducted the support by fire. Roughly 45 Romanians, 25 U.S. Marines and 13 British Royal Marine Commandos participated in the exercise.

Marines from 2nd Assault Amphibian Battalion, 2nd Marine Division and 2nd Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment partnered together with the U.S. Navy in an effort to increase interoperability between service members and to bring the Corps back to its original, amphibious roots.

Marines with 2nd Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment conducted amphibious assault and movement to contact training aboard Camp Lejeune, N.C., April 9, 2015. The training went hand-in-hand with sailors conducting training on the USS Wasp and promoted unit cohesion and proficiency in combat tactics. After debarking the USS Wasp in assault amphibious vehicles, the Marines then moved to a range where they conducted movement to contact, ultimately securing their objective.
