Marines with 2nd Platoon, 2nd Reconnaissance Company, II Marine Expeditionary Force conducted close-quarters combat tactics training at Range K-501A aboard Camp Lejeune, N.C., April 14-15, 2015. Marines with 2nd Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment conducted amphibious assault and movement to contact training aboard Camp Lejeune, N.C., April 9, 2015. The training went hand-in-hand with sailors conducting training on the USS Wasp and promoted unit cohesion and proficiency in combat tactics. After debarking the USS Wasp in assault amphibious vehicles, the Marines then moved to a range where they conducted movement to contact, ultimately securing their objective.
