Marines with Communication Company, 2nd Marine Division, conducted the Basic Urban Skills Training Course aboard Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, June 5, 2015. The course teaches Marines the fundamentals of military operations in urban terrain. The company was given scenarios that contained close quarters combat and were tasked with capturing an objective building.

Marines with 2nd Platoon, 2nd Reconnaissance Company, II Marine Expeditionary Force conducted close-quarters combat tactics training at Range K-501A aboard Camp Lejeune, N.C., April 14-15, 2015. U.S. Marines with Special-Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force Crisis Response-Africa completed a live-fire training range with U.S. Army Special Forces in Baumholder, Germany, March 3, 2015. The training prepared the Marines to engage targets in close quarters and from behind a variety of concealed positions. Special Forces personnel demonstrated a series of shooting techniques for the Marines before working through live-fire maneuver drills at the base. The training familiarized the Marines with Special Forces tactics and procedures, paving the way for future operations where the two groups may be working side by side. U.S. Marines with Special-Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force Crisis Response-Africa trained for urban battle scenarios with U.S. Army Special Forces in Baumholder, Germany, March 4, 2015. Special Forces personnel worked with the Marines to hone their ability to clear buildings as a decisive team, preparing the two groups for potential future operations together. The training culminated in a combined raid on a multistory structure, where the Marines cleared room after room using the techniques taught by Special Forces instructors. Within minutes, a squad of Marines was able to clear a building with dozens of rooms and multiple stairwells. (U.S. Marine Corps video by Sgt.
